TEKNOPEST PERSONAL DATA POLICY

1. General Information About the Personal Data Law

Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (hereinafter referred to as "KVKK") was adopted on March 24, 2016, and published in the Official Gazette dated April 7, 2016 and numbered 29677. Some provisions of the KVKK entered into force on the date of its publication, while others entered into force on October 7, 2016.

2. Information as Data Controller

In accordance with the KVKK, as Teknopest acting as the “Data Controller”, your personal data may be processed, recorded, stored, updated, transferred to third parties where permitted by legislation, classified and processed in the ways listed in the KVKK within the scope specified below.

3. Processing Method and Legal Basis of Your Personal Data

The personal data you share with Teknopest is collected and processed fully or partially by automatic means, or by non-automatic means provided that it is part of any data recording system.

Your personal data is processed in accordance with the KVKK and relevant legislation for the purposes of identification, service provision, communication, fulfillment of legal obligations, public safety and conduct of commercial activities.

4. Purposes and Legal Reasons for Processing Your Personal Data

The personal data you share is processed for the following purposes:

  • Ensuring customer satisfaction and improving service quality,

  • Development and customization of products and services,

  • Providing after-sales support services,

  • Carrying out communication activities,

  • Fulfilling information storage, reporting and notification obligations arising from legislation,

  • Providing information to authorized public institutions and organizations.

In this context, transactions are carried out in accordance with the Law No. 6563 on the Regulation of Electronic Commerce, the Law No. 6502 on Consumer Protection and other relevant legislation.

5. Persons and Organizations to Which Personal Data Can Be Transferred

Your personal data will be processed for the purposes stated above:

  • To our suppliers,

  • To cargo and logistics companies,

  • To our business partners and service providers,

  • In case of legal obligation, to official institutions and organizations,

  • It can be transferred to domestic and (provided that the necessary legal protections are provided) foreign business partners.

6. How Personal Data is Collected

Your personal data;

  • Forms filled out through our website and mobile applications,

  • Call center conversations,

  • Email, social media, surveys, campaign participation,

  • Through dealers and branches,

  • It can be collected through physical and digital means.

This collected data is stored securely in digital or physical environment in accordance with KVKK.

7. Data Obtained Before the Entry into Force of the KVKK

Your personal data obtained in accordance with the law before the effective date of the KVKK, April 7, 2016, continues to be processed and stored in accordance with the principles set out in this policy.

8. Transfer of Personal Data Abroad

Although your personal data is processed domestically, if our technical service providers are located abroad, your personal data may be transferred to countries determined by the Personal Data Protection Board within the scope of Article 9 of the KVKK.

9. Storage and Security of Personal Data

Your personal data is securely stored in Teknopest's systems and databases. Software and physical security measures are in place to prevent unauthorized access. If personal data is obtained by unauthorized third parties, the matter will be immediately reported to the Personal Data Protection Board and the relevant individual.

10. Keeping Personal Data Current and Accurate

Pursuant to Article 4 of the Personal Data Protection Law, Teknopest is obligated to keep your personal data accurate and up-to-date. Therefore, if there are any changes to your personal data, you must notify us of these updates.

11. Rights of the Personal Data Owner under the KVKK

In accordance with Article 11 of the KVKK, as personal data owners, you have the following rights:

  • Learning whether personal data is being processed,

  • Requesting information about it if it has been processed,

  • To learn the purpose of processing personal data and whether it is used in accordance with its purpose,

  • Knowing the third parties to whom personal data is transferred, either domestically or abroad,

  • To request correction of personal data if it is processed incompletely or incorrectly,

  • Request the deletion or destruction of personal data within the framework of the conditions stipulated in Article 7 of the KVKK,

  • To request that these operations be notified to third parties to whom personal data has been transferred,

  • To object to a result that is detrimental to you due to analysis by exclusively automated systems,

  • To claim compensation in case of damages due to unlawful processing.
